Welcome

Taylor Hall is my favorite player ever. Rebuilding since 2006. I have animosity towards Tyler Seguin.

Revisiting the 2011 Draft vol. 1.5

GP20, G0-A0-P0
The Klefbom's stats line in the SEL looks gross, but watching him in the WJC, where he posted a 1-1-1 stat line to go along with a plus 8, he was a rock. Named to the tournament all star team was icing on the cake to his gold medal prize. Klefbom's a big kid, good skater and looks like a body built for the pro game. I liked the Klefbom pick at 19th overall, because his scouting report sounded pleasing. I hope he comes over next season to play in the AHL. His injuries this year are a little concerning, even though one is a fluke infection/skate cut. Let's hope for a healthy rest of the way for this man.

20th overall

This is Connor Murphy, he attended the USA WJC camp and was injured, unfortunately. He originally committed to the University of Miami but, like a couple of other Americans this year, chose the CHL route instead. Smart kids ;).  Murphy hasn't played much this year, and for the Phoenix Coyotes, that must be a concern. Injuries for defenseman are the worst and usually make or break careers. Even though the Klefbom has had a few injuries this year, he's played a lot more hockey. I think we can say, Klefbom>Murphy.

23rd overall

Here's Joseph Morrow, he almost made the damn Pens out of camp. If Ritch Winter was representing him he would be pissed. Morrow was a late cut and the WJC for Calgary, and for the Sherwood Park native, it must have been a disappointment. His buddy Mark Pysyk made the team and played for Canada in their home town of Edmonton, shitty deal. As frustrating as it is, he'll live and develop. Morrow projects to be an offensive defenseman and could rival Oscar Klefbom in a couple years. I liked the Klefbom pick, and I would have liked a Morrow selection at #19 too. We'll see how the cards fall.

These two kids drafted right after Klefbom haven't looked as good in the early returns. That reflects good on Stu and the scouts, they haven't blatantly screwed up this first rounder. The thing that killed Prendergast was picking 9th rounders in the 1st fucking round.

Common sense is under-rated
